Technology has set America apart since the Industrial Revolution. Technology allows us to put astronauts in space, to launch satellites, to communicate over mobile devices and more. By leading in technology, America stays safer and our people lead a better life.
Republicans are great believers in technology and all that it offers as we move into the contextual world and beyond. Outside of oil companies you find mostly technology companies as the greatest valued in publicly traded companies. Apple, Google, Microsoft, IBM, Intel, Oracle, Amazon and now Facebook are amongst the most valuable companies in the world, each worth seventy billion to nearly half a trillion dollars, with an average value of two hundred billion dollars each and providing Americans with high-paying jobs.
Can you imagine a life now without any of those companies? Forget about how great your life is with an iPhone or computer of any type, or iPods and how it all changed music to be able to buy a single song, not an album. This is about America leading the way so that Americans have real jobs, with real benefits that can provide their family with the same standard of living that came so easy in the sixties, seventies and even into the eighties but is now disappearing.
We embrace technology in medicine, which allows us to live longer, happier, healthier lives. The Industrial Revolution was replaced by the Technology Revolution, which is now moving towards the Contextual Revolution. Republicans welcome and encourage innovations in technology.
